About

Armstrong Physiotherapy (APT) is a clinic in which patient care is the focus of every appointment.

What is Physiotherapy? Physiotherapy is a more inclusive approach to care that better describes the services provided here at APT. Your body and systems work in unison and should be treated as such. We effect more than muscles, bones and ligaments. We treat the cardiovascular, pulmonary, renal, lymphatic, integumentary, and nervous systems quite frequently at the same time. Likewise, it is very common to have multiple dysfunctions and body parts linked to one another. It is our job to shed light on these possible connections. Contact us for more information!

APT is a private practice physiotherapy clinic owned and operated by Dr. Bruce Neff, DPT, CLT (pronouns he/him/his).

Dr. Bruce was degreed from IU School Health and Rehabilitation Sciences in 2017. He practiced for 2 years in various clinical settings before starting the practice.

While healthcare can become complicated very quickly, here at APT we work with you to educate and empower you in your own care. Thank you for letting us be apart of your journey and please let us know how we can improve your experience.

Why we opt for cash-paying options:

In today’s healthcare, it is becoming increasingly difficult to regain, keep, and improve one’s health. Costs are rising, insurance is becoming more restrictive of the treatments they will cover, and more often more increasing in denials for necessary treatments. The research literature supports Physiotherapy (PT) first! As compared to other interventions, or seeing your physician first  PT has been shown to be longer lasting, more cost-effective for the spine and peripheral joints, and low risk for adverse effects or damage related to long-term medication or surgery (Elisabeth Burge, 2016). Even compared to injections, PT is a cheaper, longer-lasting option for the treatment of things like knee pain (Daniel I. Rhon et al., 2022).

The internet is great! And with the advent of AI people can get a lot of information about all sorts of conditions about their own body. And, I encourage you to continue researching! When you work with a Physiotherapist or “Physical Therapist” in the States, you get intimate knowledge and education about anatomy, physiology, and how the many body systems work together to perform the function of being “you.” And for many, how different pathologies or conditions can impact your mobility, movement, and overall function. Sessions also include education on pain science. How many times have you wondered about a random pain that may never recur for years, or consistent pain or soreness that follows a certain pattern with specific movements, or no discernible pattern that occurs at random? Is it a good pain? Should you push through it, or should you rest and avoid it? These types of questions are difficult for AI to answer without consulting a qualified healthcare provider. When you work with us you get all the above in addition to experience, pattern recognition, and an immediate answer without the panic of trying to figure things out on your own.

We have one body in this life. Treat it well, and it will treat you well. This also includes diet. In addition to the above, you get wellness and diet coaching. It’s true when you’ve heard the phrase “You are what you eat.” Nutrition education and coaching is severely lacking in the United States. Together we can find what works best for you for a tailored approach to managing your own body.

So, come see us! Give us a call. You will find your dollars well spent with Armstrong Physiotherapy.

Patient Advocacy

Navigating your health can be difficult as the evidence for all fields of medicine continues to advance. The days of having only one healthcare provider who has all the answers are long gone. Here at APT, we seek to help you navigate, coordinate, and advocate for yourself to all your healthcare providers. Manu facilities now utilize apps in which patients have full access to their records and notes. We can help patients and clients more easily understand their medical jargon, review imaging results, and explain in layman’s terms what is reported.

We’d love to hear from you.
